ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA MEN'S CLUB

CONSTITUTION

I.

NAME: The name of this organization shall be St. Catherine of Siena Men's Club.

II.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this organization is to inform, unite, encourage and involve all of the men associated with St. Catherine of Siena, for the promotion of the needs of the school and church.

III.

MEMBERSHIP: Membership in this organization shall be open to all men 18 years and older, showing a genuine interest in the affairs of St. Catherine of Siena Church and School. This membership can be revoked by a two-thirds majority of the Executive Board, for conduct unbecoming to the club. An active member is defined as a member meeting one of the following three requirements:

A.

Pay Dues. (per By-Laws)
  
     Attends at least four meetings.
  
     Participates in any combination of six of the following:

(A)     Assists in the Family Fun Run
  
     (B)     Assists in erecting and dismantling Fair booths
  
     (C)     Functions as a member of a work detail
     (D)     Serve as a chef for a regular monthly meeting.

 ( NO TE: reference to working bingo eliminated by this committee)

B.

Pay Dues. (per By-Laws)
  
     Attends at least four meetings.
  
     Participates in the Summer Program, as a coordinator director,
     coach, assistant coach, etc.

C.

Pay Dues.
     Participates in the Men's Club in such a manner that
     your contributions are considered deserving of
     membership as an active member. A committee comprised
     of the President, Past President,   and the President
            Elect shall determine the status of men in this category.

At the discretion of the Executive Board, certain Men's Club sponsored activities will be limited to active members only.

IV.

OFFICERS: The officers of this organization shall be the Pastor, President, President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Treasurer-Elect. Officers, with the exception of the Pastor, shall be elected annually for the term of one (1) year by a majority vote of the members present and voting at the Annual Election Meeting.

V.

MEETINGS: Regular meetings of the organization shall be held the first Wednesday of each month, September through May unless changed by the Executive Board, and one month's notice to the members, at a time and place designated by the membership.

VI.

GOVERNING AUTHORITY: The general management, direction and control of the affairs of this organization shall be vested in the Executive Board, hereinafter constituted, whose decisions shall become final unless over-ridden or amended by a simple majority of the members at the meeting of the regular membership at which the Executive Board reports its decision. Action to over-ride must be instituted by motion duly made and seconded.

VII.

EXECUTIVE BOARD: The Executive Board shall be composed of all the officers, three elected board members-at-large, and the Past President.

VIII.

STANDING COMMITTEE: There shall be the following standing committees operating within this organization:

 

$10,000.00 Raffle Committee
Entertainment Committee
Athletic program Committee
Publicity Committee
Sick and Fraternal Committee
Membership and Welcoming Committee
School Board Committee

(NOTE: Bingo Committee as a Standing Committee eliminated and $10,000.00 Raffle Committee added by this committee)

IX.

AMENDMENTS: The Constitution and any By-Laws that may be enacted pursuant thereto may be amended at any general meeting by a two-thirds vote of the members present and voting, provided notice of such proposed amendment shall have been presented at the previous meeting.
