President’s Message

March 2002

The month of February was very busy and successful.  The Aquilla Parade Party was great.  We all need to thank Hans Liljeberg and his helpers for preparing all of the food and drinks for our parade party.  I would also like to send a special “Thank You” to our member, Kevin Cates and the Bernstein Family at Delta World Tire for letting us party in their parking lot for the parade.  We also gathered together with our friends in the Knights of Columbus to serve our parish by sponsoring two successful Lenten Fish & Shrimp Dinners.  I would like to thank our friends in the Knights and all of our members for their hard work and dedication to make these dinners successful.

Obligation is defined as “something that binds one to a course of action.”  The course of action that the Men’s Club accepts every year is to encourage and involve all of the men associated with St. Catherine of Siena, for the promotion of the needs of our children in school and the members of our church.  I challenge all members to accept that obligation and support our club by purchasing a ticket to the $10,000.00 raffle today, sign up to work the Jazz Fest, and sign up to sponsor a team in our Golf Tournament.  The ticket sales for the $10,000.00 raffle and the sign up for the Jazz Fest and the Golf Tournament have been SLOW.  All of these events are designed for us to have FUN and RAISE FUNDS at the same time.  So, please support these major fundraisers by signing up at our next meeting.  This is  “CRUNCH TIME”; lets all support our club.

Remember We Work Hard, Play Hard, and Pray Hard.
