President’s Message - October 2002

It was really great seeing a lot of old faces and new faces at the September meeting.  We are now sitting at around 218 members.  Our goal is 300; the club needs your help; bring a friend to the October 2^nd meeting.  I know we still have some past members that have not signed up yet; even if the line is long at the next meeting please don’t leave until you sign up.  Thanks everyone for your support!

October is the last meeting before the fair.  Todd Roser is working very hard to make this year’s setup as smooth or even smoother than last year’s was.  Fair set up will be October 15, 2002 and tear down will be October 22, 2002.  Please sign up at the meeting.  The Men’s Club is also responsible for several booths during the fair: the Road Kill Booth, the Nickel Slide, and the Beer Booth, If you want to work any of these booth’s sign up at the meeting.

The playground refurbishing was a great success.  The Men’s Club was well represented.  Thanks to all members who came out and helped.  Special thanks go to Donald Duzac and Tom Macke who did the cooking. Everyone enjoyed the hamburgers.

The year is quickly getting started.  Check the newsletter for all the upcoming events.  Membership, Membership, Membership, Participation, Participation, Participation, these two things go hand in hand.  Please come out and have some fun and help St. Catherine grow.  It’s up to us to keep our school and parish strong.
