The St. Patrick's Day Parade down Severn and Metairie Road is held on the Sunday before or on St. Patrick's Day.  The Men's Club has two big activities associated with the parade - the Men's Marching Club which marches in the parade, and the concession stand fundraiser which is held on the church grounds along the parade route.  Please see our calendar page for this year's dates.

The concession stand is lead by the president-elect of the club and provides food soft drinks and beer to parade-goers at very reasonable prices.  Marchers and other club members are encouraged to help with booth set-up and take-down.

Here is the Marching Club ready to begin the 1999 Parade.  In the background is the 'Gator Wagon'  which carries beads, flowers, refreshments, and relief facilities.  A rather tall Irish lassie standing behind the Gator Wagon offers her blessings on the boys.

Marching in the parade is unbelievably fun; talk to an experienced marcher (such as your publicity chairman) for details.

Carl Livermore (at right) is the chairman of the parade committee.  He has taken over from Tommy Bohnenstiehl who led the parade for many years (thanks Tommy!).  The slightly-depleted state of the flower canes suggests that these fellows are about halfway down the parade route.
