Dear Parents:

The St. Catherine of Siena Men's Club is pleased to announce the return of its CABBAGE BALL SUMMER PROGRAM for all kids between the ages of 4 and 12. A child does not have to be a student or parishioner of St. Catherine’s to participate. Team play will be Monday and Wednesday nights, with games approximately one (1) hour in duration. The Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten teams start play at 6:00 PM, the 1st and 2nd graders start at 7:00 PM, and the 3rd graders and older at 8:00 PM. If enough diamonds are available, the last group could play one hour earlier. All games are played in the SCS schoolyard. Grade level will determine placement in a group.

The purpose of the program is to provide a non-competitive, fun league that teaches the children team sportsmanship and the fundamentals of cabbage ball. There are no formal practice sessions outside of the game times listed, and since the program is for fun, there are no standings, playoffs, or championships. Children are placed on teams according to age and experience. If your child has a friend that you would like to be on the same team, please indicate the friend's name on the notes section of the registration form and every effort will be made to place the children together. This is not always possible, however, since every effort is made not to "stack" the teams. The coordinators have final decision as to team placement. There will be no more than fifteen (15) players to a team.
